PeopleTalk: Rick Lowe
PeopleFund was pleased to host Mr. Rick Lowe of Project Row Houses » to our Fall 2007 Speaker Series. Project Row Houses is founded on the principle that art and community can revitalize even the most depressed neighborhood, both for current and future residents. Mr. Lowe, a trained painter inspired by both the art of Dr. John Biggers as well as members of the Third Ward in Houston, Texas, began using art and local culture to rebuild the community in 1994. Project Row Houses now boasts art & educations programs, low-income housing, historic preservation and community service programs.
